The roundtable series, in  partnership with HSBC, is a series of closed discussions between key financial institutions, private sectors, SMEs, startups, and youth to explore ideas for financial services and products that could encourage Arab Youth to switch to greener lifestyles. As a product of these conversations, a policy recommendation brief is drafted that compiles the key recommendations from all participants in the roundtable.

 

Increase Venture Capital Investment

The first roundtable of the series discusses “Increase Venture Capital Investment in Climate-Tech Start-Ups Across the Arab World”. The topic explores the importance of investing in startups specializing in climate technology and explores solutions for youth to transform their sustainable ideas into reality. 

 

Influencing Arab Youth Consumer Behaviours Arab

The objectives of the second roundtable are to identify the main challenges to sustainable consumption within the Arab World and to address and resolve these obstacles with financially viable, environmentally friendly, and policy oriented solution. 

 

Maximising Arab Youth Engagement in Sustainability and Climate Action Arab

Climate change ranks low in Arab youth priorities. There has been some promising progress that shows growing interest and concern amongst Arab youth. While this may be a good place to start, a more engaging role must be taken by Arab youth. Not only should this role involve personal practices, but drive youth in the Arab World to take action and make their voices heard to decision-makers
